Shift Conference 2015

From Learning to Earning

The SHIFT conference is an annual capstone professional skills conference for graduate students to assist you with making ‘the SHIFT’, from:

  • ‘learning to earning’
  • thinking about your future to taking action (career readiness)
  • thinking about your disciplinary knowledge to articulating your transferrable skills
  • thinking about ‘finding a job’ to the possibility of creating a job (entrepreneurial thinking)
  • thinking about volunteer work and the value of actively building a professional network during your graduate education.

In addition, the Vitae Partners will offer a facilitated workshop that will assist you in uncovering, discovering, exploring and articulating your well-developed higher order skills.  Make sense of your graduate level skills and understand how these skills transfer to other areas of work.

Thursday, April 30, 2015  –  Pond Inlet

8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m
